这个办公楼项目位于上海市中心静安寺附近的一个废弃的工厂内。工厂被殖民时期的建筑所包围。设计的目的是利用城市的遗产来唤起街区的记忆，并创造出一个开放的办公空间。

This project is located in an abandoned factory campus in a former concession district of Shanghai, surrounded by colonial architectures. The design objective is to take advantage of the city’s heritage to recall the memory of the district, and create an open public office space.

我们对老厂房进行了修复和再利用，保留了原有的结构和空间。新建的小型办公室位于旁边50x8米的狭长红线内。由厂房周边的旧建筑抽象出的相近尺度的原型，通过交错和退让，形成一个个室外露台。室外空间为人们提供互动交流和休憩的场所。错落的屋顶化解了过长建筑界面的单调。指向城市地标-会德丰大厦的通道，穿过建筑并将前后院落贯通。

Based on the surrounding old buildings, abstracted prototype units with similar scale are created. Several terraces are provided by interlocking and setback of this units, which provide opportunities for communication, and create a facade with rhythm rather than a dull building edge.

办公楼分为四个单元，每一个单元都有一个面向绿色景观的独立院子。建筑首层上下错动的开窗，考虑到了将来加建夹层的可能。新建的建筑与老建筑形成了小巷，在空间尺度上与上海的老弄堂相似。

Two passages directed to the city landmark went through the lower part of the building and connected the courtyards. Each studio has an independent courtyard facing the landscape. Windows with different elevations provide a possibility for further construction of a mezzanine on the ground level. AN alley was formed by the old and new buildings, with similar space scale as Shanghai Nongtang.
