Since 2020, Wuhan has included the e-sports industry as an important part of the cultural industry in Wuhan's "14th Five-Year" strategic plan.The new e-sports center is located in the core area of Optics Valley Center City in Wuhan. It aims to create a new landmark for the domestic top e-sports industry and build an immersive destination for international e-sports culture.Meanwhile, it will help Wuhan enhance the concentration of the e-sports industry and accelerate the construction of Wuhan as the "E-sports Capital".

项目设计巧妙突破小街区、密路网、高强度城市规划的限制，主楼竖向叠加多个大跨度无柱功能空间，在有限的用地范围内为当地市民和游客精心打造出——空中会客厅、电竞梦舞台、能量潮露台等多维度的城市共享空间。并通过“垂直街道”串联起多重室内外空间，营造电竞潮玩新体验，重塑城市公共环境。
The design ingeniously breaks through the limitations of small blocks, dense road networks and high-intensity urban planning. The main building vertically superimposes multiple large-span column-free functional spaces, and carefully creates multi-dimensional urban shared spaces such as sky living rooms, e-sports dream stages, and energy tide terraces for local citizens and tourists within the limited land area.Moreover, through "vertical streets", multiple indoor and outdoor spaces are connected to create a new e-sports trendy experience and reshape the urban public environment.

电竞中心主体建筑仿若脱胎于虚拟世界的 “能量水晶”，被建筑师赋予“光之谷，晶之城” 的灵魂。设计在规整的“水晶立方体”里雕琢出空中“城市客厅”，结合立体的连续折面，恰似电竞能量的跃动，跨越时空的羁绊，向着未来伸出探索的脉络，让电竞的希望与梦想在光芒中穿梭、汇聚、升华。
The main building of the e-sports center is like an "energy crystal" born from the virtual world, and has been endowed with the soul of "Valley of Light, City of Crystals" by CSADI.The design has carved out an aerial "urban living room" in the regular "crystal cube", combined with three-dimensional continuous folded surfaces, just like the vibrant energy of e-sports, transcending the shackles of time and space, extending the veins of exploration towards the future, allowing the hopes and dreams of e-sports to shuttle, converge and sublimate in the light.

电竞中心北侧和东侧立面上的三角形公共入口，引导游客进入首层10米通高的大厅。首层设有游戏动漫体验馆以及互动展示与新闻发布区域；整个区域可举办丰富多样的电竞展览和宣传活动，让在不同时间到来的游客有全新的体验。
The triangular public entrances on the north and east facades of the e-sports center guide tourists into the 10-meter-high lobby on the first floor.The first floor houses a game and animation experience hall as well as an interactive display and press release area; the whole area can host a variety of e-sports exhibitions and promotional activities, enabling tourists arriving at different times to have brand-new experiences.

电竞中心的公共区域是向所有人开放的（无论是否购买了电竞观赛票），最特别的是建筑师还在室内设计了一条能够穿梭电竞中心的游客参观步道。参观步道以黄水晶色调为主，代表着“穿越未来的探索 ”。
The public areas of the e-sports center are open to everyone (whether they have bought tickets for e-sports matches or not). What's most special is that CSADI has also designed an indoor tourist visiting path that can travel through the e-sports center. Thevisiting path is mainly in the color tone of citrine, representing "exploration through the future".

游客通过由自动扶梯、大台阶、水晶楼梯等组成的垂直街道，可到达不同楼层的咖啡厅、城市客厅、多功能厅等空间，并最终来到顶层的屋顶露台。在屋顶露台，游客可将光谷中心城市景观带美景尽收眼底。
Tourists can reach cafes,urban living rooms, multi-function halls and other spaces on different floors through vertical streets composed of escalators, grand steps and crystal stairs, and finally arrive at the roof terrace on the top floor. On the rooftop terrace, tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Optics Valley Center City's landscape belt.

“设计是对智能化材料应用的精准表达，为建筑走向更具表现力、可持续性与创新性的未来架起了桥梁。” 项目主创建筑师解释道，建筑的外表皮采用自洁型蜂窝铝板、穿孔板搭配 LED点阵组合单元，巧妙地将 LED 动态屏、电子互动装置等一系列多媒体展示技术，天衣无缝地镶嵌于建筑外表皮与室内外空间之中，为中心披上了一件梦幻而科技感十足的外衣，使其成为光谷中心城最耀眼的文化地标之一。
“Design is a precise expression of intelligent material application, bridging the way for a more expressive, sustainable and innovative future for architecture.” The project's main architect explained that the exterior skin of the building uses a self-cleaning honeycomb aluminum plates,perforated plates and LED dot matrix combination units, cleverly integrating a series of multimedia display technologies such as LED dynamic screens and electronic interactive devices seamlessly into the exterior skin of the building and the indoor and outdoor spaces,dressing the center in a dreamy and highly technological coat, making it one of the most dazzling cultural landmarks in Optics Valley Center City.
